For some couples trying to conceive is a stressful journey and the not knowing when you’ll achieve that important second blue line on a pregnancy test is one of the hardest things. It can lead to ongoing disappointment each month, feelings of despair and heightened stress.
We are all aware that stress has a negative impact on our hormonal system and can be a contributing factor to not getting pregnant. Here are some suggestions to consider on how to manage and reduce stress levels.
Invest in yourself Enlisting the help and support of a homeopath who will prescribe homeopathic remedies to restore balance and aid with fertility by addressing blocks to conceiving. Homeopathy has been proven to help reduce stress, balance hormones and increase your chances of getting pregnant.
Yoga or walking Restorative exercise, like yoga helps by bring your attention & focus to your breathing. It’s a gentle practice and you move body in a way that reduces stress, increases your energy, balances your hormones and improves your chances of getting pregnant.
Walking is a great exercise to help clear the mind and is low impact. High intensity exercise can affect your hormones, resulting in being less fertile.
Relax & create more space
It is important to slow down and make more space to relaxed, which will in turn increase your fertility. We all have a tendency to lead busy lives and spend our time rushing from one thing to the next trying to fulfil lots of commitments. Now is the time to have a look at your to-do-list and start saying no to open up space for you.
Improve sleep
In the modern society that we live in we are all overstimulated and overloaded. Often we can go to bed feeling totally wired and unable to switch off even though we are tired. If you want a better night’s sleep I would recommend introducing a bedtime routine. A routine can have a significant impact to the quality of our sleep, whereby it is much improved. The routine could include; turning of digital devices an hour before bed, having a bath, listening to relaxing music, practising breathing exercises.
Homeopathy has lots of remedies to help aid sleep quality and experience a refreshing nights sleep.
Nurture yourself
On your fertility journey it is important to nurture yourself with a healthy diet filled with organic fruit and vegetables. Reducing caffeine and drinking filtered water.
A gentle homeopathic detox can help clear toxins from the body and contribute to enhanced wellness aiding your fertility.
Fertility Affirmations
Affirmations are short affirmative statements repeated frequently to help you relax. Daily affirmations may help transform negative views and create a more positive attitude resulting in less stress.
Practice Mindfulness
By practising mindfulness could help to reduce your levels of stress and anxiety. Stress reduction will help improve the blood flow to the reproductive organs and helps to regulate your cycle.
Intimacy & passion When trying to conceive the passion can get lost with timed sexual intercourse on the fertile dates in your cycle and things can become more like a routine. It’s important to nurture the relationship and have unplanned, imitate sex. It’s a great way to relieve stress, as it products several hormones to make you feel happy and relaxed, such as oxytocin, dopamine and endorphins.
